Amy is an amateur nature photographer in eastern Ontario, Canada focusing on the scenic landscapes and vibrant wildlife of Lanark County, Leeds & Grenville County, Frontenac County, Ottawa, Algonquin Provincial Park, and places beyond. She also enjoys taking landscape and wildlife photos during her occasional travels abroad, including trips to other Canadian provinces, the southwest USA, Peru, Iceland, and Costa Rica.
Amy grew up on a farm in rural Lanark County, a place that will always feel like home. As a huge animal lover, Amy has found photography to be a particularly rewarding hobby. By having a camera with her out in nature, she is able to capture all kinds of fascinating wildlife that might have easily been overlooked. Each outing offers new discoveries and opportunities to learn. Amy is passionate about wildlife conservation and is pleased to support organizations including Canadian Wildlife Federation, World Wildlife Fund Canada, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and Ottawa Humane Society.
Amy shoots with a Nikon D5500 and D850 and takes courses at The School of Photography. Her work has been published in The Universe of Colour Photography magazine and Canadian Geographic magazine.
