A graceful creature known for its distinctive tail and antlers, the white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is the most common and widely-distributed mammal in North America. They are also the most numerous of Ontario’s four deer species (the others being moose, woodland caribou and American elk). You can find more information about white-tailed deer here and here.
The white-tailed deer below were photographed in eastern Ontario, including Ottawa, Lanark County, Leeds & Grenville County, Frontenac County, and surrounding areas. Click on image for full-screen view. Select prints available at my Etsy Shop.
